shOUT! Board of Trustees

Tim Wallder - Chair

Tim is a Play Development Officer for London Play working with government representatives, regional and national play organisations, Local Authorities and voluntary sector play organisations to develop strategic policy and partnerships and promote good practice in play across the capital.  Tim is also an independent play, playwork and behaviour consultant and trainer working with anyone who works with children and young people all over the country.

Tim was an Assistant Youth Worker for a short time at LMO in its early years.  He has always been an advocate for the group and became the Chair of shOUT! in 2007.  Tim is looking forward to seeing the group develop in the future and hopes to secure funding to ensure this can be possible.  He believes that it is vital that young people have the opportunity to come to a club like LMO and to have access to the support and services of shOUT! .

Gemma Smith - Vice Chair

Gemma was a member of the LMO group from the second week of opening. Having had first hand experience of what the group offers she knows the value and importance of what LMO provides. As the group evolved Gemma was often the voice for the members, whether it was their opinions of changes for the group, or a simple "thank you" at one of LMO's birthday funtions. Having past the age group for which LMO is provided Gemma got involved with the shOUT! committee in 2007, and was elected as Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees. As a trustee she hopes to ensure the group continues to flourish, and present the safe and friendly environment for support that I know has already helped so many young people.

Ian Beever - Company Secretary + Treasurer

Ian Beever is a consultant, facilitator and trainer working with the public, voluntary and private sector, specialising in policy relating to local Government, strategic partnerships, health, social care and community engagement. Ian also lectures in health and social care policy at St. George's Hospital in Tooting on the Msc Rehabilitation programme.

Ian was on the founding committee of LMO and took over as Chair of Shout when the 2 organisations merged, and held this role until 2007. He took over the role of Company Secretary in 2007 and is responsible for all reporting to the Charity Commission and Companies House for Shout.

Lucy Oliver

Lucy Oliver spent four years in playwork, since then she has delivered art workshops in schools and day camp settings.  She currently works as an illustrator and school learning support assistant.

She was involved in the formation of SHOUT back in 1996. Its conception was bought about by a group of young people who wished to address the lack for such facilities for LGBT youth in the South London area and raise awareness of the need for them.
