LMO or Mainstream

One of the key points for us at LMO is to remember that we offer all of our members a relaxed, non judgemental atmosphere.

Regardless of your gender, age, nationality or sexuality, LMO works together as a group to make all of its members and visitors feel comfortable and secure in a stress free environment offering escape for a couple of hours a week.

Having two gay youth workers can benefit LGBT members in different ways compared to mainstream youth workers.

The staff understand the sensitivity of the issues that can be raised within the group and address them carefully and confidentiality where appropriate. Here at LMO we offer all of our members the opportunity to raise or share any sensitive or personal issues in their own time. Members and visitors are not made to feel pressured into discussing any issue they do not feel comfortable with.

Each member can choose to take part in sensitive discussions or to sit back and listen to others until they feel confident and comfortable enough to express their point of view.

LMO members have the freedom to continue the friendships they build inside the group, and continue them in other social activities outside LMO.

With the funding LMO receives, LMO offers its members the opportunity to take part in different types of activities including a day trip to Gay Pride or weekends away filled with all sorts of fun activities.
